what to expect When hiring me:

✓ I provide medically accurate, evidence based content that I am constantly updating.

✓ If presenting to students, I make them aware that I am a mandatory reporter and what that means in regards to confidentiality.

✓ I make discussions engaging, age appropriate and understandable.

✓ I answer questions from participants openly and accurately even if they are outside or tangential to the original presentation plan. This means that I cannot always control the direction or all the content of the conversation.

✓ I discuss with every client what their priorities are and tailor my presentation to their particular needs. This can be through a combination of discussion and/or questionnaires prior to a presentation.

✓ After a presentation I make myself available to answer participant's questions via email, phone or video. I discuss with each client whether to have questions directed through a trusted representative (school counselor, trusted teacher, student representative etc.) or directly to me from participants. For student groups, I also work to identify a trusted contact within the school who is willing and capable to answer questions going forward.

✓ I endeavor to learn about the local community and find physical and online resources like clinics, practitioners, pharmacies, groceries etc. that can provide services to the community.

✓ While I try to provide broad insight into certain legal issues related to the content I teach (e.g. sexting between minors, Federal vs. State or local drug laws etc.) I am not a lawyer. There can be significant differences in Federal and State-to-State laws which require that any individual or group independently investigate legal issues in their jurisdiction.
